Working in corporations involves this weird degree of prostitution where you've got to cuck yourself in various ways through fake enthusiasm, fake pretending to like people, fake cheerfulness, fake wanting to put emojis in to the chat, fake wanting to talk about your personal life with others.

I really underestimate this each time I start a new job. It's like every single bureaucratic workspace is being increasingly a contest about who can become a shrieking women or homosexual faux youtuber theatre kid who can "bring the energy". There's always a moment early in jobs that feels like a sliding door moment: "Do I want to join the Pointless Ways of Working Subgroup for Endless Bullshitting?" "....Um, no, but maybe in a few months...". And then I realise my prospects are destroyed.

Work was so demoralising today. I tell myself I'll work hard but then my job boils down to making plans of plans and being bureaucratic grist.

I get so annoyed working with my manager, who changes processes every fucking day.

My job doesn't even need to exist. It's so pointless. I hate it so much.

I am applying for other jobs.

I bet my manager regrets hiring me because I don't fit in. I feel bad but morally the shareholders would want me if they had perfect knowledge and cared about people as low ranked as me. Sadly, the corporate world isn't a money hungry and cost efficient place.

For the first time since 2020 my portfolio has dropped below $300,000. At one point it was worth just shy of $3,000,000.

There is NO hope in sight. Just rate hikes followed by rate hikes followed by rate hikes until the economy has completely collapsed.

I will be DCAing I guess, like some fucking pleb, because it'll likely be another 6-12 months before a turnaround and many years before crypto recovers to anything close to its ATH market cap. Just boomer stocks at this point.

All those cool people on podcasts, TV shows, or who have Wikipedia pages all live in big houses, have no bosses, have enough money to do buy cars and go on holidays, and they could do nothing for years and not worry about money.

They don't have to worry about roastie managers obsessing over bullshit. They don't have to hear HR speak. They don't have to spend their weekdays in an office surrounded by normies that laugh at them.
