You betcha.
I've since made the backstop for the coins more robust and it's placed so when a coin is in place, the minimum focal distance is a few millimeters closer to the camera. This allows some leeway for focus and for a possible thicker coin, like 2ozt coins.

Switched to digital about 2000. First one was an Olympus Camedia C2020Z. Still have it, for unknown reasons. Also still have my Minolta SRT 101.
