Why does glassnode show over 400k chainlink addresses, while etherscan.io shows around 150k?

The description in glassnode says "The total number of unique addresses that ever appeared in a transaction of the native coin in the network.".

If I understand it correctly, this means that glassnode is counting addresses that are involved in chainlink smart contract transactions which don't necessarily involve a transfer of LINK itself?

I've been swing trading around 16% of my link stack (LINK/BTC on binance) for the last week or so. My total profit is about 4% of that 16% (in other words 0.64% of my total stack).
