We met while at a week long conference, we're both shall we say, "contractors" working for various private companies. On and off for a few years scoping out our lives and each other and we both just worked. Didn't force anything, have minimum expectations of each other. And no we aren't christians, we're staunch agnostics. We both have pre-nups that are more or less identical. 7 years and we haven't really had a fight, we deal with shit like adults and don't fuck around/ play games.

Checked. And we're still semi-private individuals who respect each others space, not joined at the hip. We both met and reconnected when we both had our shit together and we enjoy funding our hobbies without relying on anyone else. We have regular conversations about shit like that, all the little steps the average joe would bury under the rug or simply ignore only for it to eventually put pressure on a relationship instead of taking the time to rationalize a small problem so it doesn't become a larger one.
