So i've noticed these "mystery items in a monthly box" companies that have sprung up recently have been doing pretty well for themselves.

For those who don't know about them, essentially you pay a subscription and each month you get a box of various items in line with the theme of the box. Examples include lootcrate (anime/videogame/comic book paraphenalia) and glossybox (cosmetics).

I was thinking of developing a business that facilitates users who create their own box ideas, and then put them up on a marketplace and anyone can buy them. Sort of like those design-your-own teeshirt sites where people can sell their self-made shirts and the site tales a cut of the price, except they sell themed monthly crates instead.

How viable of an idea is this? It's supposed to capitalise on the people thinking "This monthly box system is easy money, I bet I could do it if I had an easy way to advertise my boxes and then I could just buy cheap shit and throw it all together".
