I work in the plan design side of a certain construction related field. I'm overworked and underpaid. I am dead during the week and only live for Friday nights and Saturdays where I can be free at least partially so. Even when I'm off the clock it still lives rent free in my brain because I have so much shit going on that I'm constantly anticipating what the next shit storm project is going to be. I'm a mild alcoholic and smoke cigs on occasion but I counter it by working out almost every day. In my 30s now but more fit than I was in high school.

Every day I hope for some kind of economic slowdown just so that I can have a fucking slight respite, but no, even with COVID people are still fucking hiring contractors despite the high unemployment, i don't get it
