Look into Lition.
First of all, it's not being shilled by pajeets.
Second of all it's a second layer blockchain with the killer feature being side chain deletability. This is needed for real life EU applictions because otherwise EU privacy law prohibits it.
Team has connections in German government and high up in SAP. Sister company is a peer to peer energy provider and a showcase for the technology. It's doing really good already in Germany.
Mainnet is going to be launched soon. 10x is an understatement.
10x within a year I'd say, 100x within 3 years.

I'm personally invested in Lition, I'd suggest you also take a look at it before you invest.
They seem from the surface to try and tackle the same problem but Lition tries to do it solely with their newly arisen sister utility company whilst energy web tries to become a platform for multiple utilities.
In Lition's case the sister utility company is just a usecase of the basic Lition blockchain technology which is GDPR compliant.
This is probably important for EWT as well. Is it GDPR compliant? If not I cant see it making inroads in the EU, which is the largest market for decentralized small scale renewable energy projects.

I'm going to add a description post of lition in the accompanying pic.
Please shill me your EWT some more, I might not totally grasp what it's doing yet.

This is the best explanation I've seen of the Lition project.
It's pretty solid.
It's no guarantee. There are some things that could have been better so far which is why it's still under ICO price. But it has massive potential.
Suicide stack is definitely a wise move.

Security on the network by staking.
Paying a gas fee for transactions and paying fees to open sidechains. I think every sidechain (and thus every dApp) needs a trustnode to operate but I need to inquire about that.
