I work as an American welder and make 500k a year. Without us your world would fall apart. That bridge you drive over its held up by other welders like me. That fucking car you drive is held together by my fellow union welding brothers.
I work in the medical gas sector. We weld and prefab all the working gas fittings for hospitals. Without guys like me your surgerys that you pay to go get in the hospital wouldn't happen. I Might even save your life one day because of one of my welds.
You want to know the best part about being a welder though? At the end of the day I can actually hold my hard earned cash in my hands. That's right I can count it and feel it. Unlike these scammy crypto coins that have absolutely no use case and will go no where but zero.
So why don't you do yourself a favour. Put down the laptop and pick up the torch. Ignite the spark to your financial freedom.

I fell for the meme and became a welder. Got my first job late past month after 10 months of training for my certificate.

Not saying it isn't well paid but the bottom tier jobs (MIG/MAG pleb entry shit on regular steel, structural, etc) are backbreaking and filthy as fuck. Normalfags will always comment when they know about your job "oh, those people earn a lot!" but the pay isn't really that good compared to service sector for the amount of physical effort you have to put in. I did it mainly because in the shithole country I live in it's the only thing that could get me a decent pay so I could save up money to fund a business. Otherwise it's living paycheck to paycheck.

People I know talk to me assuming I'm going to spend the rest of my life in that industry and they're crazy if they really think I'm going to. I'm trying to find jobs on stainless steel, TIG, and finer work to earn more with less physical exertion. Only the dumb and desperate stay in the lower rungs for years on end. Eventually I'll be getting out in a couple years or so at most.

Hey, at least I am not a Neet anymore!

The Millionaire Fastlane. Look it up.

But get a trade that is quick to learn or something meanwhile to actually be able to save money to invest instead of trying to jump from minimum wage to business owner which is pretty much impossible depending on where you live.

I'm being trained as a welder right now and looking for jobs in the industry. It pays well and it'll allow me to start saving serious cash to start a biz. And of course some money on the side to gamble in the crypto market.

God I wish I had started before so I could be able to buy cryptos in this current discount season.

I know that feel. Currently in welding school, gonna make more than most office drones in my cuntry and I'm likely to travel abroad and leave my shithole country once I get enough experience. How can someone live most of their lives working in an office?

>>11769972
>>11772523
You guys probably don't even have 10 years of sitting in an office chair otherwise you would know the pains long term office drones suffer. Blue collar jobs at least are meaningful. 90% of white collar stuff is unnecessary regulatory-compliant BS that will eventually be discarded once the age of functional smart contracts comes over.

>I don't understand how people can cope
Alcohol, sports programs, overeating... You name it.

I worked in a restaurant where we had 10-12 hour shifts, in summer it was expected to get worse. Two of my coworkers took every chance they had to leech off beer from the tap because it helped them deal with that life-killing job.

I acknowledged soon that alcohol was what made that miserable job bearable enough not to seek for something better for them and that's why I refrained from drinking whenever they offered to me. It was what kept them trapped in it, along with mortgage payments and other obligations they got themselves into.

I forced myself to stay the whole month and resigned. I'd rather fucking be a NEET than work 14 hours a day as I was told they'd be doing in summer. And this is in some Thailandese sweatshop tier conditions in what is supposed to be a first world country.

tldr; Alcohol, coffe and addictive substances are bad not only for the negative health effects but also because they attach you to what would otherwise would be unacceptable situations. They keep you from doing something to get your stuff together.

All the jobs in restaurants in my country are like this. Now I'm thinking to become a welder.
