Firstly, let me accept your admission of being mistaken: bcash is the hardfork, has minority hashing power, a lower market cap, fewer developers, and a smaller community, with less acceptance. Let's just call a spade a spade. Glad you came around so quick.

Secondly, hark forking is contentious when it goes beyond a bug fix or change that has obvious implications. In the case of bitcoin versus bcash issue, both segwit and an increased blocksize represented contentious choices with non-obvious implications. Hardforking in such as situation just isn't the same as when a shitcoin hardforks in its early days, or hardforking for a critical bugfix.

Nice bait, anyway CHOMP:

Bitcoin has pretty much all the developers and people who matter.

Bitcoin Cash and the failed Segwit2X fork (regular segwit is good and is being adopted, 2x was buggy code) were pushed by business people who basically fucked themselves over with bad wallet management and Jihan Wu who wanted to profit from his Asicboost exploit that he bought the patent for.

If you actually do care, this article lays out what happened and what will probably happen next:

>2mb blocksizes would be fine for most even 10 year old desktops to run a full node, but they blocked it anyway.

It's a bad precedent to set. That's going to be very important in years to come. Yeah, 2mb would be ok and it may still happen. But then the pressure will come on far too quickly for another increase and another until the cost of running a full node is no longer feasible.

Also S2x was buggy code that was DOA. Despite companies like Coinbase rushing into a hardfork, they refuse to implement Segwit today. Really makes me think.

BCH will slowly die-off as the big blockers (free-riders) capitulate. Then the next fight begins:

Additionally Core (and Blockstream) is working on CT (confidential transactions) which will be a new transaction type. This will likely come with the blocksize increase to make CT's affordable because afaik, they require more blockweight. A blocksize increase for something actually reasonable.

So Core has increased anonymity and a blocksize increase in the works.

Are you a fucking 14yr old? People who are criminals in one form of activity are likely to be criminals in others.

Calvin Ayre was on the FBI's top ten most wanted list. Craig Wright is pretending to be Satoshi. John McAfee murdered someone and is a drug addict. Ver stored explosives in a shared residential building. Kim Dotcom is an IP thief and a blowhard (although admittedly, he isn't the worst out of the bunch).

How the fuck can you say that the fucking nerds of Core are shady, but the guys pumping bcash aren't?

Here's an argument:

Bcash is a centralized piece of shit designed to steal Bitcoin's brand name. Larger blocks are a non-solution to the scaling problem and will reduce the rate of independent node growth, thus making Bitcoin less robust.

Nick Szabo, Adam Back, Andreas Antonopolous, and Charlie Lee are against the blocksize increase. Back was literally cited in the Bitcoin whitepaper and it is likely that Nick Szabo, whose Bitgold was the inspiration for Bitcoin, was a contributer to the Satoshi Nakamoto team.

The intellectual weight is behind core. Increasing the blocksize is not a solution, it is a false promise. This has been explained again and again. Independent Bitocin nodes need to be trivial to run and we need alternate methods like radio transmition to ensure that the network is robust as possible in case of internet failure. That security is an absolute necessity.

If bcash wasn't trying to steal Bitcoin's name and brand, there wouldn't be a problem. It could be yet another shitcoin.

Except blocks are now 2mb with segwit, small blocks keep nodes cheap which makes for a more robust networkk, and lightning will solve scaling.

Big blocks = chinese mining cartel and blocks full of spam.

>ITT: bagholders, chink shills and /pol/ schizos team up to shill for BCH

Seriously though I think (You) should stick to pol or reddit. It's hard to tell now with the bitmain shill invasion we're having this summer, but up until a month ago you could see the regulars of biz have a good idea how bitcoin works and were on to Jihan's shenanigans. So tone it down or take it elsewhere, I doubt you're getting any actual 4chan user to buy your propaganda or your shitcoin.

There are at least 7 open threads on /biz/ shilling for BCH right now.

Yesterday it was just as bad or worse and some faggot shill was spamming some edgy copy pasta about /biz/ being "compromised by "blockstream shills" " any time someone called the BCH shills out.

Can't the mods do something? Ban IPs from chinks and pajeets, or at least add country identification to posts along with the ID.

An upgrade to the Bitcoin software by credible and competent developers that for some reason certain non-credible, incompetent morons dislike.

Segwit is supported by people whose opinions matter like Nick Szabo and Andreas Antonopolous. Opposed by scammer Craig Wright, faggot [[[evangelist]]] Roger Ver, CIA operative Gavin Andresen, and Chinese State proxy Jihan Wu.

Really made ME think.

BCC will stick around somehow until LN is up and running. Then die a slow agonizing death as big blockers realise they were bamboozled.
