anon why can't you just look at a chart? i honestly don't know why everyone doesn't just put this simple indicator on their chart specifically on the 1h and 1D timeframes (i like 1h because 1D would take a lot fucking longer to get to the extremes and actually complete a trade), you have to combine it with FA but it will help you so much as a point of reference. the only times it doesn't obey the boundaries for long periods of time is when some FA fuckery is involved, FDX being a good example because their past two earnings have been fucking insane compared to estimates, also penny stocks because low float and news can really fuck with things. the VIX itself is actually one of the really good things you can use this for. honestly considering where the VIX is in relation to the keltner channel it's not surprising there is selling going on recently.
