>What is/was your major?
Economics B.A.

>How much does/did it cost you?
Around $5000 for community college.
Got $6000 to transfer with a community college degree to state university and only spent $10,000 to get my degree. So college cost me like $9,000 total plus a lot of time. Pretty good in my opinion and I graduated with no debt.

>Do you think it was worth it and why?
Worth it, maybe. Economics is an "into the trash" degree without a Masters. I think it sounds better than it is. Example:
>Number 1 issue for 2012 elections was "muh economy"
People don't even know what "the economy" is let alone understand it. This is why economics sounds good to normies but bad to anyone with an actual business or finance background. I like economics though, especially economic thought personally. But, to make money I would focus on stats and math for economics instead of, "Adam Smith, in 1776, said X, Y, Z."

I've had a few good gigs but I'm only 23, so for long term idk how well this will go for me. I want to go for a Masters in economics though.

>What would you do differently if you had the chance?
I would have gotten an Economics B.S because that program teaches you basic finance, econometrics, accounting, and a few other useful things to put in your tool kit. My Economics B.A was pretty much me reading Veblin, Smith, Ricardo, looking at other people's statistics and interpreting them, much more theory and school of thought studies. No real practical application outside of a few classes here and there.

But, what I really should have done was study Geology and I think I would have been much happier and would be in decent demand for energy markets and oil in the US. I'm not to sure about this though because I don't really keep up with it anymore but that's my Christmas land. I would love to work for the USGS. Economic geology would be a nice field to get in but my geology skills are bad.

>economics is trash
>study something useful
>Finance > Economics > Business
