It has issues. 94% of the supply is owned by 100 wallets. It's not used right now really. But it has huge potential. MKR will be needed when you have multi-collateral CDPs. But crypto really has to take off so you are thinking 5-10 year time frame.

The whole point of smart contracts was to trust nobody except the code Anon. People are handing money over to the code. And that code has distributed 63,000 ETH or $29,000,000.
