I first believed that hyperinflation would come first, but now I do subscribe to the view of Harry dent and Mike maloney, that we will see a deflationary collapse followed by an extreme overreaction from the fed causing runaway hyperinflation

However this situation changes day by day as trump has now essentially taken control of the fed over the last 24 hours

Money as debt is destroyed when loans are defaulted on or paid back. Most of the debt currently in existence is corporate debt, and these companies are going to start defaulting like crazy. Look how many companies have been downgraded from AAA to junk in the last few weeks. Corporate bond ETFs are tanking.

Even if the fed does 20 trillion of QE over the next few months there could potentially be 100 trillion of currency destroyed due to bad corporate debts, hence we will get deflation first

Also normies aren't going to be spending as much and there is already a huge corporate liquidity crisis... The velocity of currency is slowing to a crawl, this leads to deflation also

I've bought a ton of puts on the S&P 500 and am only really holding cash crypto and precious metals, along with some defensive stocks and miners.

Whichever view you subscribe to, take the advice of Harry dent, that it would be prudent to take a percentage of your portfolio and short stocks, as this will put you ahead in either scenario
