Can someone explain this shit to me in layman's terms? I read the white paper but was completely lost halfway through. Here's what I've picked up;

>blockchains used for one purpose are called Icon communities. These communities can link to other communities through a platform called 'Icon Nexus'
>People called 'C-reps' connect Icon communities to 'Icon Nexus'. In exchange, they are rewarded with ICX coin.
>Icon Nexus basically acts as a decentralised exchange where currencies can trade with each other.
>You can build decentralised apps on the Icon Nexus it like ethereum

Here is my main questions:
- How are these 'C-reps' chosen? Is there 1 per community or can there be multiple?
- How do C-reps connect people to Icon Nexus? Like what are they actually doing?
- Why build dApps on Icon over ethereum or Neo?
- Is this literally just a de-centralised exchange? When you pull away all the smoke and mirrors, that's the only value I can see here.

I haven't bought yet because of the seemingly bat shit insane white paper, I can't get my head around what the technology actually offers over other coins. There's so much hype though, I really want to figure it out.
