When I was a kid I really wanted one of these St Gaudens coins, but getting one was unimaginable. Decades later I can realistically buy one, but I have some problems and want your advice.
I really love the reverse design. I used to stare at the picture of it in my book and wish for it. It's the only thing the kid in me cares about.
If I buy one of these then I'm basically throwing money away because I'll never sell it. How do I deal with this thought?
I don't give a fuck about numismatics. I do want the reverse to be pretty.
Should I go about acquiring this and if so, how to go about it?
I have one type two AGE and about 200 oz of silver. I don't really want to stack anymore silver, I want more gold now. Should I ignore this childish impulse and just buy more eagles? I'll have to save up the two grand or so, so I got time to figure this out.
