Hello guys,
Im new to the world of crypto and investments.
I've been doing some research for the last couple of weeks and I'd like to start investing in crypto thinking about the long term.
I'll probably use Kraken or Coinbase to make the purchases.
My question is: Should have my own wallet, and if yes, which option is better mobile wallets or hardware wallets?
I don't plan in investing big amounts of money.

Newfag here. For those of you with investments into many coins, is it preferable to:

* Have a ton of wallet software installed on your computer (so you own the keys, but it's more of a hassle)
* Keep all of your investments on coinbase/gemini/kraken/whatever exchange you use to trade
* Another option I'm not aware of

Hello Hodlers.

I am doing a paper about some of the less talked about aspects of cryptocurrency, specifically those that relate to current American social issues. The thesis statement is that crypto is an implicitly white space and POC and women have been excluded from these spaces. I also am diving into whether this is a feature or a bug. I make the analogy to a "pre-mine" in the sense that crypto only percolated down into American society through white enclaves and only after white males became significant stakeholders. I am also considering different ways that this imbalance could be redressed such as a hard-fork that re-distributes a percentage of coins to wallets of those who were systematically excluded both directly and indirectly by lack of educational opportunities.

Does anyone here know any coin founders who have made racist or sexist remarks?

Does anyone here have any stories of POC/women being excluded from dev teams and ICO's?

Any other relevant information would be greatly appreciated.

So as far as I understand these internet crypto tokens are like hot potato and you throw it around and as long as you're not the last one to hold it you win?

i don't get the point of them, why would there be more coins than just bitcoin what does chainlink and xrp do that bitcoin cant do

as far as I understand anyone create these coins and then sell them? so basically i could create a coin that would cost me nothing and then sell them to some sucker, make some money and forget about it completely?

I've never done anything with crypto but it's the only payment they accept for passes. I tried making a coinbase account but it starts off with a "weekly limit of $0" and I don't even know if I'll be approved for more. Is there a better way to buy BTC, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin or any of the other accepted currencies without having to wait? Preferably with a credit card

Admit it, crypto is just another financial deriative, a medium of digital monetary transfer like paypal and apart from offering almost anonymous payments its not much useful for anything else

Bitcoin and alike are just payment services advertised as currencies.
