That's not what strong extended families means at all.

You'd still have your own house. But the structure of your community wouldn't leave you and your family and your friends dozens to hundreds or even thousands of miles apart.

Also, under the Northern European guild system of old adolescence lasted until people were in their early 30s. People weren't expected to marry until they were older, and being young meant working as an apprentice and eventually journeymen in other people's homes until one acquired enough wealth to start their own business and gain mastery. Wage labor was seen either as a form of slavery or a form of skill building. But no one was expected to do it forever, and even most nobles went through this process being expected by society to build character before they would gain access to their families wealth.

Frankly the idea that you should be thrown the wolves with no support from anyone before you have any skills or life experience is sick.

Now obviously I'm advocating democractic cooperatives in place of mercantile guilds, but they're not too dissimilar of a concept if you squint a little bit.

I'm not advocating handouts, you still have to fucking work. I'm expecting reason and support not exploitation. But please, run away and go work at Mcdonalds while licking the boot of your boss who genuinely doesn't give a shit about you.

Yes Comrade

Just wait

No one has control over the sociocultural laws of motion that dictate our society

We do actually have to make direct action yes

But the revolution looms as automation and global warming eat at our collective souls
