Reeeee where are you credit spread anon!?

Just how many days do you usually buy a credit spread before expiration? A day? 2? 3? 4? The week before on Friday, Thursday, etc.?

Retard here. I'm not in the U.S. but my new company pays me in equity to my Schwab account. I also invest with a broker in my own country but they charge flat fees to buy/sell so I was thinking it'd be better to keep the money in both brokers separate but I only get paid into that twice yearly so I wouldn't be able to buy dips or anything in whatever I hold on Schwab.

Would I be better off just transferring it out of Schwab in that case? Schwab charges a 1% FX fee which probably makes it worse transferring (local) currency in.

I invest by picking random stocks mentioned by Reddit with decent volume and are at least 20% down from pre-COVID prices. I don't know what P/E ratios are nor do I have any fundamental knowledge for investing.

I fell for the stock picking meme and I'm underperforming the index.
