Memeing aside, XRP's not going to start seeing any significant gains until

1. Ripple's escrow account that releases XRP every month is depleted.

And

2. Ripple finds a use for the crypto outside of xRapid. In it's current state, Banks are buying and selling it far too fast for it to affect the price. They need to find a way to increase the coin's value for xRapid and their business model to be worth a damn.

XRP has the best overall chances compared to other cryptos in the long term, but the keyword is "long term", and those chances aren't absolute. That shit won't be worth anything for 5-10 years, minimum, if it even succeeds. There's nothing wrong with stockpiling a little bit at a time, but if you're looking for a quick ROI, you're better off looking at other cryptos.
