I recently got a contract job which has a shitty 401k policy; no matching, no nothing. I decided to opt out of the 401k, but I'm not exactly sure what to do. I kind of want to open a ROTH IRA, but if I do I'm only going to put $10k in it, to use it for the first house purpose.

Should I just invest the rest into my long term stock account? It's filled mainly with mutual funds and stuff. I was thinking I could basically replicate my previous 401k in my main account and use that.

Note that I expect to die before 40. Either by suicide or health. Not looking for memes either, I already have a meme trading account.
