no that's just an excuse. and if what >>17331412 said is true they padded the episodes with content, so all that work could be spent elsewhere to finish the whole thing instead. then release that extra content later as DLC. it's a shame they treat ff7 like this because the experience will suffer. it's no fun to get involved in a game and then all of a sudden it is halted for a year, then you're expected to jump back in where you left off. you won't feel the same involvement.

also i hope they aren't kidding themselves that they can release this as three parts at 60 USD each instead of one part at 60 USD. sure graphics are better today but it's not like the tools to create those graphics aren't better either.
