any defense of BAT at this point is pure, unbridled cope

we need to collectively start threatening to report Eich to the SEC or something, otherwise he's just going to keep tweeting about COVID and pretend he never created a multi-million dollar scam

>but is there any reason besides lack of demand why the price of BAT would remain stable or decline?

real answer: there are massive BAT whales that sell off during pumps. BAT had a notoriously retarded ICO where a select few got in early and bought massive bags, and can now sell into pumps. I know this because some of these whales post about it here. They set target prices and when BAT reaches certain prices they sell off. It's a very easy token to swing trade for that reason.

dumb answer: Brave purposely suppresses the price for now, to try to keep the price of BAT stable and for other various rumored reasons.

WHY doesn't she want your last name?

If she doesn't love you/respect you enough to want to take your last name, I'd be weary about marrying her. HOWEVER, if there's a GOOD REASON she doesn't want it (example: your last name is Penismeyer and she's a pediatrician or something) then I'd at least consider where she's coming from.

That's the general sentiment I think, especially on /biz/ and reddit, but I don't think it's true at all.

Most people that use Brave have no feel for how integrated BAT will be into the browser. Earning/spending BAT will be available literally at the flip of a switch. The ads are unintrusive but there's an incentive to click on them (that incentive is BAT).

The more success Brave has, the more people are exposed to the potential use of BAT. On top of that, Brave is already looking ahead to more and more uses for BAT (lowering paywalls through microtransactions, paying for subscriptions, introducing BAT to various plug-ins, etc. etc.)

From what I see people entirely underestimate how important BAT is to Brave and the Brave team. I'd even go as far to say BAT is more important than the Brave browser itself, and in the future people will look back and say "Yeah no shit, BAT was the play all along", but right now it's just not that obvious

It's definitely a weird type of jealousy-tinged criticism. Lots of posters here seem hate the idea of BAT, but when they're presented with all the reasons why it is necessary (as stated by the literal creator of Brave and BAT), they simply deflect, whine, or continue baseless attacks against BAT.

BAT's been proven to be necessary and not a "funding token" (lol) over and over again. It's not really a conversation worth having anymore.

And the guy who keeps saying "WHY NOT USE ETH!?!?!?!?!?" truly does not understand the concept of ETH. I mean seriously, what does he think ETH is for? Does he not realize what ERC20 tokens are? It's some mind boggling stuff from /biz/.

Imagine the price when corporations realize the potential of people actually clicking on and viewing their ads online, and the amount of potential money that would flow from that. Plus adoption growth.

Going to go with $2-10 EOY 2020.

BAT.

The creator, Brendan "Third Reich" Eich is openly conservative and favorites many pro-Trump tweets on twitter. 4chan turns a blind eye to this so they can continue their irrational hatred for BAT though.

BAT is a comfy hold. 2019 will be a fun year for Brave and BAT.

Really really want to see some huge independent online content producer like Ninja/Pewdiepie/Joe Rogan/Bordan Beterson/whoever start shilling BAT and start getting support from their communities via BAT. That would be a difference maker because it'd show other huge online content producers 1) that BAT is a viable alternate revenue stream and 2) that it's an option worth considering because x is doing it.

A guy can dream. Until we see some kind of unique hype around BAT, we'll just follow the same Bitcoin/alt season trends that all the other coins follow.
