I had 4 different jobs in college, usually holding 2 at the same time at any point. My GPA was just about 2.0, maybe lower. I make over $200,000 a year now

1. Intern at local electronics company (NJ)
2. Worked for a graduate professor as a webadmin for her various projects
3. Pizza delivery
4. Built my own forum (using some shitty PHP-based thing) which had adspace on it

I took a year off after college to chill then randomly got a call from a recruiter and took the first job that was offered to me within a week

Get shit done during college. Don't be lazy, and you'll make it anon

Hey /biz/
A family member is about to die and he's quite rich. Family is quite cool about inheritence and the three of us can pretty much choose what we want to inherit. (Others are doing fine for themselves, so they will sell whatever they get and do what rich people do with their money)

Thing is, I can either inherit a big ass farm, or get its estimated value in money.
The farm is quite run-down and was abondoned for quite a while, but am told that it could be up and running again if am willing to invest some time and effort into it.

How is farming in the US? Is this a profitable venue? I hear farmers complaining in the news all the time, so maybe I should steer off this shit?

Someone please explain the problem with being "in debt" to me?

It seems as meaningless as a "having cooties".

I mean there's no debtors prison anymore, and you can still buy stuff, while in "debt".

What's the big deal? Just spend all the money you have right now. and then keep spending money you don't have, just so you can spend the rest of your life happy!
