/biz/ I'm a 28 yo living with mommy like a manchild. Currently 7 months unemployed, trying to find work, it's fucking brutal. Mom survives off alimony but dad has stopped paying. I think she is going to lose her house, she doesn't work due to combo of health/mental problems and lazy.

I can see the time is approaching where I'm going to have to figure out what to do with her.

Here is my gripe however, my family are the classic boomer archetype. They bought $750k homes and 80k luxury cars but refused to help me or my brother with college or certs. As such, we are always scraping by, from one shit job to the next. My mom has helped me out a few times with emergency expenses, but not without significant bitching along the way. Dad isn't in the picture.

Basically what I'm trying to gauge, is ***to what extent should I try to help my mother as she becomes older?*** She's become a hoarder too and has a melt down if I try to help. She lays in bed all day and does literally nothing and refuses to make any effort to help herself. She's going to be a huge fucking burden in the coming years to me, and I don't know what to do. I don't really want my mom living with me since I'd like to have a gf maybe kids, but I don't want my mom to end up on the street. I also struggle financially myself from lack of degree/certs.

It's not dangerous in Australia you have nothing to worry about. I saw someone get shot last time I was sleeping in my car here in the US. My car was part of a crime scene lul. I also woke at 3am to some crack head standing outside of my car trying to fight me.

What you need to do - get a window tint on your car, darkest you can legally. You can definitely crack the windows or you're going to suffocate. Truck stops, universities, 24 hour gyms, camping grounds, and national parks are good places to park.

My backstory:
Mommy and daddy didn't help me with college or help me get certified. In fact, they had a divorce right in the middle of my early 20s. I wasn't eligible for financial aid because they made too much. This led to a long arduous struggle to find work.

Until I was literally 23 I couldn't find any full time work no matter how hard I tried. Any work I did find was the most shitty degrading work you can imagine, which made it immensely difficult for me to continue. I've been doing shit work the entirety of my 20s. I guess you could say "Oh you're just lazy, do it yourself", but guess what? If you don't have a degree or certification where I live, you're not getting a fucking job. I am now 4 months unemployed, going on 5 and can't find a motherfucking job. I've interviewed multiple places, only to be faced with a white boomer bitch in HR peering across her desk at me dreaming of HuffPost memes about my white male privilege. I currently have $1.14 in my bank account and I'm behind on my bills. I'm literally going to starve to death if I don't make some money this week, literally. I can't believe anyone says the US is a first world country.
