Cool, that's fine. Some of us have to commute though and living in a city with high wages is the only option.

I know I am about to get a LOT of shit for this but Chicago is probably the best value of any city in the US
>comprable wages to NY and SF
>much much lower COL
>home ownership in a safe, majority white neighborhood is actually attainable
>ample public transit and very walkable, if you're into that shit
>Extremely diverse economy not propped up by a single industry (looking at you bay area)
The city (the civilized part) is actually really nice and a great place to live, as are the surrounding suburbs which are accessible to the city by pretty well-run commuter rail. Of any city in the US this one is probably the best value and I really like my decision in moving here. Taxes are pretty high though.
