This is what I did. It's okay. Since I'm PT my hours are not guaranteed though so if there is short hours and market isn't helping I go through lean periods every now and then.

A few years ago there was a wave of standing desk memery in my office. Since then every single person who tried it has given up and returned to a regular desk. A few held on with half measures like a stool and adjustable height arrangement but they too eventually said to hell with it. As for me I don't have a desk as I work out in field with fleet vehicle.
