>no debt other than ~10k in a car loan i make payments on because "muh credit score" - probably stupid but whatever
>have 148k in checking account
>have funded around $8000 into my 401k in total

obviously this is a dream situation for a lot of people, but apparently this is also an incredibly stupid nightmare as well. every personal finance retard says your "best years for investment" are your 20s, and I wasted mine by just hoarding money in checking and not buying or doing anything. could have put it in an IRA, a 401k, whatever, but no, it just went to a 0% APR checking account.

since i am an indecisive idiot, should i just buy as many CDs as possible with my money and at least get something in return for it? i never spend any of it anyways and i've kind of built it up like a game to see my high score go higher, but i'll probably be at the FDIC limit in the next few years so i need to do something sooner or later.
