That was my theory as well, posted it here last week. It still is my theory, but I have to give it that he might have actually been good at his job and that’s why they made him 2nd in command at WebX. Cisco is an enormous company with a long history, I’m sure there’s a shitton of red tape and kissing asses and bureaucratic bullshit to get them to do something right.

IF he were a super capable guy and not a Chinese spy, it’s possible he couldn’t get what he wanted to do done at Cisco, and struck out on his own like the other autist ceos that couldn’t take big organizations.
