Just watched the matrix and it makes total sense, when you realize the agents who are on the side of the computers who need the metals, it makes total sense why they don't want people stacking. Their entire system relies upon it and access to it, without that they would cease to exist, something full of irony on account of the fact that the silver would burn their skin to begin with. Every ounce stacked is a chip removed from their armor.
