You're right about your eth call, but honestly, the only way I see old alt-L1s recapturing the lion's share of new retail flows is if we have significant regulatory intervention that prevents new token launches OR we see acceptable investment frameworks for specific redeemable token trusts like what greyscale has been trying to do.

Given the permissionless nature of dexes and rapidly improving normie UI on wallets, there's no shot of that happening.

I say this as a fellow whale who's survived in crypto since 2012 and is positioning away from the old alt-L1 trade that's burned literally every fund last cycle.
