I'm still imaging that your parents are both super-hardcore daytraders and they're just calling you a "failure" because you aren't as deep into it as they are.
Like you're in the basement with a 2 monitor setup and a little futures 2x leverage account, and you're excited to tell your parents about making $500 every day. Then you run upstairs and your parents have a massive workstation with 16 monitors and VR and a BB terminal and monster zero ultra on tap. And they're trading futures, crypto, whatever with like 1000x leverage and making tens of thousands a day. And your dad just looks at you with disgust, and says "[anon], you are a failure of a daytrader with your little baby leverage. get out of here! never talk to me or my wife's son's mom again!"

That's probably what's going on. They just want to see you take daytrading seriously. If you up the number of monitors and the margin that you use, people will respect you more. You also need business cards and an official daytrading mixtape, otherwise you're just a hobbyist.

man it sucked for me, I'm not a people person. I was about to give up when I got lucky and I got into a job that I'm good at and really love. Most people don't get that. Network with the other people in your major with you, your professors, with your family and anyone they know, friends and anyone they know, even random people you meet on the internet.
there is no easy answer (unless your life gives you an easy answer already). It's tough for some people.

VQLY isn't a ticker

QYLD is kind of difficult to backtest, and doesn't have even 10 years under it's belt, but suffice to say it should underperform QQQ in the long term.
QQQ or SPY still gives compounding gains, it's just that more of that compounding is growth in the company value and less is dividends.
However in the short term we have a lot more crab market ahead of us.
Feel free to disregard my opinion on anything, it is fine :)

we're talking about 6-7 figures just for the land, then 50 years of property taxes. That's just the land and property taxes...
then what about my high speed internet, weekly foot massages, anime girl pillows and posters every season, guns and ammo to keep the bears from ripping me up, etc. etc.

the only time I set a stoploss on a company is if I don't care about it
And that doesn't happen too much

Like any TSLA I bought under 200 yesterday is getting sold under 196, that stock is like a wild wolverine.

but most stuff doesn't get sold until I think it's crap, I make a sell decision if it gets overbought, or uhhh... I dunno there might be other reasons but those are the main ones.
