Huh I didn't know. I'm paranoid about doing deposits not in person ever since my buddy's Chinese girlfriend got scammed by a Korean who asked her to do some complex shenanigans cashing a check for him.
I don't use a normal bank, I go to a credit union attached to the university I work at. They have green carpet (kind of dingy), a couple of normal chairs, two or three small vases of fake flowers and a bigger pot with real flowies in it. Most importantly they have a keurig machine that they never stop me from making multiple cups of coffee from when I walk out. Their downtown location by the grocery store is much nicer, they have sleek matching silver furniture and ipads for people to use.
