My best bet is simply that they are an exchange, and they make money when people buy and sell on their exchange. They see XSN as likely having high volume, and they want in on the action.

Why would centralised exchanges list their biggest upcoming competition. There's a reason coinmarketcap(owned by binance) snubs XSN so hard. They even removed it's market pairs.
