The central bank has always been interfering with the gravity of technology in bringing us the world of the Jetsons and more free time. I had an epiphany in my younger days cash strapped and didn't like looking at my bank account and even worse the dreaded trip to the supermarket. I visited my old vices in the snack aisle and when I held up a bag of crisps and stunned by how light it was and the price, it's then I asked myself: "is there a nationwide shortage of potatoes?" The answer is "No". And to add, I bet each year some mechanical engineer gets hired by these chip company that is able to maximize efficiency and lower the per unit cost and pass the savings to the customer. And yet, year after year, the bags of chips go up and they go up faster when you look at the ounces and how that goes down from double digits to now around 7oz. At this point, you are not going to need a bag clip, you can just finish the bag after opening, and if you have kids, god help you because they can't share a 7oz bag, so now you have to buy 2. And pretty soon these truckers are going to be displaced by self driving Tesla trucks so there's another efficiency there, the truck doesn't stop for rest and there's less "middle man" to jack up the costs. So now I wonder how long is this lunacy going to go on? Are we going to see a bag of chips that is 5oz? 3oz? Maybe just one chip per bag? Even the store brand chips are barely able to hide the inflation. They just keep making the bags smaller to keep the prices from reaching that point where people stop buying it...it's like cereal, it became so expensive that people stopped buying in numbers, they switched to bagels for the last 20 years. Why would anyone in their right mind buy a 7oz bag of chips for $3? and when I examine it, I can't see where that $3 goes to. Yeah the store gets a profit, and they also get paid on where the chips are displayed at eye level, the potatoes are super cheap as farmers produce with more machinery, and t
