My dad is wanting to invest some of his retirement money and is asking me for advice. I know literally nothing of investing. He wants something he can buy and sit on til he wants an expensive toy in the future or something, I'd imagine. I suggested something in security since it seems a safe bet with all the shootings and what-not in the US that a lot of businesses and public areas are probably going to be investing in tightened security for big gatherings and shit but I don't know specifically what companies to invest in. Any idea where to start for this? he doesn't even have a broker or anything just expects me to shit out answers to his investing inquiries. Help a brotha out?
