Can someone explain why Americans put up with their current taxes?

Didn't Americans originally go to war because they didn't want to pay British taxes? "No Taxation without Representation" ring a bell? Taxes were supposed to be a temporary thing to help fund the civil war. Now we pay up to 37% in taxes.

"The company on Tuesday announced several new customers had signed up to start using its technology for cross-border payments, including France’s Crédit Agricole, Brazil’s Bexs Banco and Uruguay’s dLocal.

It also said that SEB, the Swedish bank, had used Ripple’s system to transfer $180m between Sweden and the US in recent months to help manage the cash balances of one of the bank’s large corporate customers."

"In a precedent-setting moment, Cuallix became the first worldwide institution to use xRapid — Ripple’s solution that utilizes XRP as a liquidity tool — to reduce the cost of sending cross-border payments from the U.S. to Mexico.

Cuallix moved to the forefront of digital payments by using digital assets to remove the inefficiencies and red tape associated with processing and sourcing liquidity."

>Loopholes don't exist
I should have stopped reading right there. Obviously loopholes DO exist, otherwise we wouldn't have a word for it.
Major corporations form loopholes out of paying their employees a living wage all the time. The Ms America pageant falsely advertises giving you MUCH MORE money than it actually by valuing the total cost of tuition from all colleges you could conceivably go to, even though you will go to one of them.
All major ISPs form a large oligopoly on fixing prices of their overpriced services, that are tax-subsidized so we all pay for even if we don't all use them.
Planes with bullshit the "transparency act" are allowed to display a dishonest price by labeling necessities like THE SEAT and THE FUEL TO CARRY THE PLANE as deluxe surcharges.
>Hey It costs 5 bucks for a trip to france, but 5000 dollars extra for the fuel to get there.
<Oh hey, can I opt-out of the FUEL, and just GET ME THERE? Like can I just have you push the plane with your bare hands until we arrive? Oh? You can't? Then WHY DON'T JUST INCLUDE THAT IN THE FUCKING PRICE SO I DON'T HAVE TO HAVE MY BALLS LOCKED DOWN WHEN I'M CAUGHT BY SURPISE LIKE THIS?"

Look, if you have no problems with effectively paying around 75% of your money to the tax jew, more power to you. I, however, am outta here as soon as I can. But only after I got my "free" education.

Please stop shitposting in my thread and let's keep it English shall we ?

>completely ignoring crossnational variances in price levels and cost of living

I don't even know where to start with this in all honesty. When working full-time at minimum wage leaves you below the poverty line, expecting significant saving among the lowest-income Americans is pants-on-head retarded, regardless of how high the interest rates are.

>oh why don't they just save anyway and that way they'll have more money in the future to invest and use thanks to the interest they'll get on the savings they accrue now

I mean yeah this is a good idea, but it still relies on the assumption that there's even a miniscule amount of income that they can afford to devote to savings without literally starving or being kicked out of their ramshackle living quarters.
