The economy was dog shit, thats what caused this. We've been in long depression since 07 when corporate investments fell off. There will be mass consolidations and bankruptcies. A bunch of bankies will throw themselves from windows, and profitability will return.

All modes of production have inherent structural issues that can not really be reformed but are essentially a fuse. Capitalism goes through crisis cycles and every time Economists do something to try restore confidence in the system and profitability, for example the credit/private debt response to 1970s crisis, but these are really just band aid solutions to problems that are inherent in the economic system which can't be resolved at all because the system often relies on those mechanics to work.

Capitalism will crash and burn like Feudalism, Asiatic, Antiquity it's a matter of time, it may be in 20 years time, it may be in 200 years time, but all economic systems essentially are on borrowed time.
