People keep saying that the hedgies are using malicious algorhithms and bots using precise timing to drive down the value of the stock in what's called a "ladder attack" or something like that.
Why can't we do the same?
Couldn't we make a highly accountable platform that allows people to hand their accounts over to the bots and manipulate the stock that way? Or if not handing it over, turn it into a real time video game or something similar where you hit the sell/buy buttons at the exact time the bot tells you to do it.
The advantage of the hedgies seems to be that they control large sums of money in a handful of accounts. We could dump as much money into the market as we want, but if we don't have the advantage of automation of trade we will never be able to compete here. The hedgies will just outbot us.
