Tin, the Chad of base metals, is now $25,290.00 per metric ton.
Pewter, an often overlooked material, is 92+% Tin, and I've seen purity as high as 97%. Nice cheapie sterling isn't super common so when out hunting I always look for pewter too, got this 1 lb vase for $1 today.

If silver moons and the quality of my local FWTDHWATQUDs isn't up to snuff, I'm keeping my mercs and paying them in snipped-off chunks of pewter scrap instead.
