Because they are literally going to shove green energy down our throat whether we like it or it's efficient or not. It's like how they have to rebuild houses in japan at some point by law or how american homes and cars aren't even built to last any more. We have to consume or the economy dies. EV's are being forced man. At this time only a limited number of cars are allowed in countries like China and Singapore. There is a lot to say about why and how, but the bottom line is we are not being given a choice in the matter.
