>global chaos from natural disaster
>massive rich/poor tensions
>most partisan government ever
boys we are in for some shit this decade

Mainland China protests will probably begin in a few months, if the government responds militantly the west might step in and start a full blown war in support of the pro democracy.

It will take a while for dumb burgers to transition away from blaming the virus, but when they do it will be aimed at politicians and (hopefully) the rich. Massive resurgence of the occupy movement.

its not

congress really needs some fucking term limits, unfortunately congress doesnt seem too keen on the idea (there is technically an amendment that would give legislators term limits, but its sat untouched since the 1700's)

so whats with the sudden un-dip, trump got a letter or something? or just itchy algos, which will continue for the next 48 hours at least?

Barron will become a center-left political star in his 30's, and become a democrat potus sometime after that

thankfully in 20 years political parties will be entirely different

>>Man anything is possible in this day and age except for the left to meme and the Democrats to get a presidential candidate that can win.
Bernie's team had many memes, remains to be seen if he could have won though (he could have won michigan at least, probably other rustbelts too, idk if he would have won in the "south" like hillary did)

>That's assuming that Bernie being elected would even be allowed to do anything. You can't "work within" the system unless the system is using you.
thats why bernie would have been a great president, he wouldnt be able to do a thing because of the legislative branch

Trump was the next best thing, an outsider who is being actively constrained by the legislature

some of the more rabid democrats want investigations to be some sort of deux ex machina to undo the 2016 election, but thats delusional at best

>it is illegal for a sitting president to be prosecuted of a crime
>a 2/3rds of votes by the senate is needed for any impeachment of a sitting president

as long as 1/3 of the senate is against impeachment (2/3rds of any single party, since party whips get rid of the possibility of 1/3rd of each party) he will not be removed

while i applaud every bit of the swamp that the investigations drains, its retarded to believe it will end with trump in jail or prison

also a pence presidency would be far more scary to anyone who hates trump than trump's will ever be

with any luck 2020 presidential election will be between three viable candidates (either Trump as a strong third party candidate because republican party revolt, or a "moderate" republican running as third party (or a demecrat running against a dem ticket clinton, winning more votes than she gets, but splitting the vote in trump's favor))

also impeachment proceedings will hurt stock market more than any action that the president takes can

you mean doctors shouldnt get the same pay as ditch diggers or fast food cashiers?

you fascist!

>its a real blindspot that too many people like to ignore, on both sides of the political aisle

yes i didnt realize the partisan wording near the top until after i post it

a large part of the problem with it is that everyone has a different internal definition of what is "fair" or what is "right"

one man's justice is not the same as another's, no matter how many parts of their definitions overlap

no, quite the opposite

it shows that the pattern from the past century+ might not be broken yet
