You're a faggot and your shits retarded. GFC ratio spike was (like now) the banks shitting the bed, likewise it did not result in a tech crash. e.g. JPM (best performer GFC -> present) from GFC bottom to ATH was a 7x while even bluechip tech like MSFT over that same period was 11x

TQQQ:TMF beats it over the last decade (& last ~20yrs in simulated back-testing) even something as simple as 100% SSO beats it

TQQQ is Love, TQQQ is life, but TMF has reached it's useful lifespan. Long term rates are as low as they can go, making TMF a depreciating instead of appreciating contra-market hedge. Gold, while not correlating with the market in the limit, co-moves with the market during crashes (just when you need the hedge the most) Tail hedging TQQQ is prohibitively expensive to maintain over years or decades. So what's the hedge, mate?
>Jus DCA into QQQ like a fucking retard boomer!
'no' I want that 30% CAGR, motherfucker!

While TQQQ:TMF performed ridiculously in the last decade, the end of constantly declining long term interest rates spells it's doom. I'm still very bullish on TQQQ, but the counter-balance must change. Shill me an asset and/or derivative[s] that will:
1) Either increase or not decrease (substantially) in value long term
2) Have a negative correlation with QQQ

What should I counterbalance TQQQ with? I fear that TMF can't realistically be used anymore, while it has performed marvelously over the last decade, this performance has in no small part been due to the tailwind of declining long term interest rates. An anon suggested TVIX, but the decay over a year+ time scale is simply untenable. Gold neither has a negative correlation with the market nor has leveraged funds that return something approximating x the returns of the underlying in-the-limit. I am at a loss, /smg/ lend me your wisdom

Because you should put half in TQQQ, half in TMF & rebalance every month or so

TQQQ:TMF, rebalance monthly. There, done. No need to follow the market, no need to research.
>B-but higher percent TQQQ or SOXL performed better in the last decade!!
Yes, but at the cost of higher drawdowns during downturns. Such a strat requires far more active management to prevent catastrophic loss during recessions.

NASDAQ. What kind of retarded q is that?

TQQQ:TMF is THE simple safe long term hold, it's index-investing on Soviet steroids, if you can't beat the market (and let's face it, most of us can't) DCA into TQQQ:TMF, rebalance every month or two, and relax

Smooth brain. YTD is the closest we have to a recession in the 3x etf era. TQQQ:TMF has also performed exceptionally well in the 2010-2020 period, and the in the last twenty years (using simulated performance, given the ETFs didn't exist pre-2010)

TQQQ:TMF is up 30% YTD. TQQQ:TMF is objectively the easiest big brain long-term play
