Is going to CalArts as important to getting a job in the 3D film animation industry as it is in the 2D
film animation industry?

budget art school NEET:

- Have a schedule to strictly follow
- For professional feedback/critique, commission one session with a pro by contacting them on art station, whatever. Do this once every two months or so. If you're a complete beginner, you can go on forums like polycount where people can help you with your basic tutorials
- For 'connections' go to conventions, don't hesitate to look for opportunities to get any job etc.

Udemy and Youtube tutorial videos have more credibility than CalArts. Just saying.
